Balance Rewards Terms & Conditions

So how does it work?
Well when you go into your local Walgreens you will be asked if you would like to register for Balance Rewards. If you agree to register the cashier will then ask you for your phone number. If you have picked up pictures or prescriptions at  Walgreens before it will pop up your name if not the cashier will ask your name. Your cashier will ask for your address and email and then prompt you to verify the information on the pinpad and enter your date of birth. (ALL accounts must have an email, phone number, & date of birth) You then have the option to receive a Balance Rewards Card or go Card free.
From now on when shopping at Walgreens you will be able to enter your phone number on the pin pad if your card less or have the cashier scan your card if you opted to carry one. You can also download your card by mobile app and scan your smart phone at the register as well as check your points balance and earnings.

Note that as of 09/30 you MUST have a Balance rewards account in order to receive ANY of the Sale prices (monthly, weekly, IVC, Register Rewards)

The Balance Rewards Program will issue customers points based on items advertised with points that you purchase and through special offers sent to you by email. (Let's say you always buy a Pepsi at Walgreens then you may receive a email letting you know that you will receive so may points next time you shop if you buy a Dr. Pepper or if you buy Pampers it may send you an email for a points offer if you buy Huggies and so forth). So make sure to add Walgreens to your email address list so you don't miss a points offer! Points do not expire as long as you continue to actively shop at Walgreens.

You will receive:
500 points for every prescription purchase as well as immunizations
10 points for every mile you register on Walk with Walgreens


You can redeem these points towards payment on your purchases. The pinpad will ask if you would like to redeem any of your points today and you can chose how many/much you would like to redeem.

5,000 points is $5
10,000 points is $10
18,000 points is $20
30,000 points is $35
40,000 points is $50

For example If you have 65,000 points and your transaction is $8.64 you have the option to use 5,000 points/$5 off your total so you would pay $3.64 out of pocket. Your points balance would then be 60,000. So then you come back and make a $52.23 purchase you have the option to use up to 40,000 points to lower your out of pocket price.
